Little piece of Paradise along the Medina River in Castroville, Texas. Super cute cottage. Giant Pecan trees. Green Green Green and Super Peaceful. Blocks away from Town Square and great dining. Josh is awesome. Get away from the hustle and bustle of San Antonio…15 away…stay in this Peaceful, Cozy…Piece of Paradise❤️

Booked Josh’s place basically just as a place to set up and sleep as we weren’t really home at all during the day. Kids said the beds were quite comfortable. Kitchen area had the basics we needed. Josh is a good friendly host.

My family loved staying here. I had two children . 8 year old and a 2 year old. They absolutely loved the toys they were able to play with during our stay. The river was beautiful with Lilly pads . A little low perhaps the time of year. We loved skipping rocks. The entire property is so beautiful and peaceful . There are a ton of beautiful birds to see. The beds were comfy. The house gave you a rustic vibe . The kitchen had all the essentials even without a stove. We utilized the toaster and microwave a bit. We did run into the family a few times and they were all very pleasant and welcoming . Would recommend this stay. The town of Castroville is so nice .

Josh was always available to answer questions and even a few special requests. Location is perfect for everything in and around Castroville. Comfortable home with lots of outdoor space. We especially enjoyed the large screen porch.

Joshua’s farmhouse is the perfect getaway spot. We loved that it was right on the river! There is a delicious italian restaurant nearby and the town of Castroville is full of amazing history! Take the historic walking tour! The farmhouse is so well kept and comfortable! The beds were so comfortable that we slept through the night without tossing and turning. We loved our stay at the farmhouse.

We really enjoyed our stay. We were there for a trip to Sea World and the location was great. It was an easy drive into San Antonio, but it was much nicer to stay in Castroville than right by Sea World. The house is great and we had plenty of room for our family of 6 to spread out. Check in was super easy.

This place is truly a treasure. If you want a quiet and peaceful place to stay on a beautiful bend in the Medina River, this is where you want to stay. They have a bench swing hanging from a giant Cypress Tree where you can sit by the river and enjoy the view. We were there to attend an event in town and it made it a very convenient place to stay. So we are coming back so we can enjoy that quiet and peaceful weekend. I haven't even mentioned how cute the place is. Two bed rooms and a spiral iron staircase that goes to a loft with another bed. We did enjoy the nice screened in porch which had a great view of wildflowers and Pecan Trees that lead you to the river.

Beautiful clean place and Joshua and Emily are wonderful and very helpful, excellent communication. Castroville is a very short drive to San Antonio that’s why we decided to stay there but ended up spending a lot of time in the small town, very cute shops and cafes and history to it. Just loved our stay.
